Goodbye summer and hopefully the end of well, the end of the world! Just kidding. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more productive in a year than I have been this year. For the last few years, I told myself I would start my blog but never did. It wasn’t until I finally said I wouldn’t start my blog that I actually did it! (Aint that some shiiii) I self-taught myself not only wordpress, but I also taught myself new photography skills, editing skills, writing, and of course MAKEUP!
On most days if I put on makeup its very light. On days when I want to shoot photos, I tend to go more full glam. Now when I say light makeup, I mean as much of a “no makeup” makeup look that I can get away with. The products and processes that I use is what helps myself feel a little more put together and glowy without pushing the look over the edge to full beat. Minimalism is key ladies!
How I achieve my “No Makeup” – Makeup look
The perfect canvas
It’s really sad for me to admit this, but on days when i want to achieve my no make up look, i actually spend the most time on the face. When you use face makeup, its really easy to get carried away and end up using too much product. Remember less is more and that still applies here. Applying your base in layers will help minimize creases and the caked on appearance. I start with my favorite face primer to create a smooth and hydrated base. Then, I go in with my favorite concealer under my eyes on my eyelids. I blend this all out with my favorite beauty sponge. Last i go in with a powder all over. Using a powder that has a light sheen or a skin like finish to set your makeup will help it last throughout the day and give the appeal of not looking overdone.
Add some depth
If you know me, you know how much i have been obsessed with bronzer. It has taken me years to find the right one that does not make me look ashy. Now when i tell you thank the Fenty Queen Rhi Rhi herself, i swear by it. I love using my fenty bronzer with a fluffy brush to give me an all over blown out bronze look. I go in starting on temples/hairline and making the “E” motion to my cheeks then down to my jawline. It really is a lot easier than it looks. Last i will take a small eye shadow brush and take some of that same bronzer on the outer V of my eyelids and in the crease. This is very blown out has no science to it.
Blush up your face
Now that we have the face bronzed up and looking fresh, I like to add a glowy blush, but only in the right places. I like to define these areas by thinking of where my face would turn red if i was either out in the blazing hot sun or enjoying a snowball fight with my loved ones. These areas for me is my upper-forehead and hairline, the apples of my cheeks (a few inches below your eyes), and the bridge of my nose. Using a super light hand i take my angled fluffy brush and brush over those areas with a peachy pink blush. This will bring life to my face and always give me a sun-kissed glow.
Add a little lash
When it comes to you, you are entitled to do with your lashes as you please. Some people are blessed with beautiful thick and long lashes and can go bare without doing anything to them. Some like to add a little bit of mascara and some like to add a natural glue down lash. Depending on the day and what i will be doing, i will decide between a lash or mascara. For some of you who know me, i have very sensitive eyes to mascara. So i use as little of it as possible. I have been loving this mascara for my sensitive eyes and if i use lashes i go with these ones.
Hydrate those lips
Finally we are at the end!! To finish the look off i go in with a simple lip balm, chap stick or i do a natural lip liner on the perimeter of my lips with a gloss/balm over it. I want to make sure i use products that will keep my lips hydrated and looking healthy.
Conclusion

I hope you found these tips and my process helpful for the next time you want to rock a bare face look/ “no makeup” makeup look in secret.
Gorgeous!
