Delicious Holiday Tea Cocktail with Southern Breeze

December 16, 2020 / Vegan Recipes

Every Year for around Christmas, I try to create a new cocktail for the season. This year was a bit different…actually entirely different. I have made tea cocktails in the past, mainly in the summer. For the holiday season, I have challenged myself to create tea Cocktail/Mocktail using Southern Breeze Cold Brew Tea. Now, when I say this hits….IT HITS!!!!

This cocktail is so refreshing, can be drank all day on Christmas AND… can be easily swapped to a Mocktail. Nothing says Christmas more than a nice pomegranate cocktail. I hope you enjoy my festive Sparkling Blueberry Tea and Pomegranate Cocktails. Let’s jump into the recipe.

My Sparkling Blueberry Tea and Pomegranate Cocktails

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 ounces White Rum (remove for mocktail)
  • 6 ounces Cranberry Juice
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 6 ounces Pomegranate Juice
  • Chilled Proseco (switch to sparkling water for mocktail)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Cold brew Blueberry Tea Bags – Southern Breeze
  • 1 cup sugar
  • (optional brown sugar rim)
  • 1 wedge lemon

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a small bowl, steep tea bags in cold water to later add to simple syrup
  2. In a small sauce pan, combine the water and sugar. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Transfer the simple syrup to a heat proof jar, add in steeped tea and chill until ready to us.
*I leave the tea bags in until the solution is cooled
  4. If you want the sugar rim, swipe a lemon wedge around the top of the champagne glass and then immediately press the glass into the sugar. Let the sugar rim dry.
  5. Add a few ice cubes to each glass and in a cocktail shaker full of ice add the rum, juices and simple syrup. Shake and pour over the ice in 4 glasses and then top with chilled prosecco.
  6. Serve immediately

There you have It

Hope you enjoyed my lovely new Sparkling Blueberry Tea and Pomegranate Cocktails. They are perfect for the holiday, refreshing and can easily be made into a Mocktail. Or you can just enjoy the tea iced and put into a festive mug. I hope you enjoyed this holiday tea cocktail recipe. Sending you all the holiday blessings and Joy. Cheers
xoxo
