Although gyms are closed, that hasn’t stopped me from working out, doing my best to stay fit, and developing my current fitness routine. Actually, I think it encouraged a lot of people to start being active and holding themselves accountable for their health during this lockdown. Being a strong believer that great health starts with your mental, its important to have a strong will to be consistent and keep going even when you might be discouraged.
Growing up, I was a major athlete all the way up to college. I was a gymnast, soccer player, and track runner. I always loved waking up for practice which helped me grow a huge love and passion for working out + being active. One saying i truly believe in is…
“YOUR BODY IS A TEMPLE”
I enjoy taking care of my body and nourishing it with wholesome, nutritious foods that continue to aid my strong yet powerful suit of armor it is today.

My Current Fitness Routine
One thing I do to hold myself accountable and making sure I hit all my workouts every week is planning them out on Sunday. I use Sunday as my reboot day. This is the day where I will type up all my workouts in my notes app on my phone and make sure I have my workout timer set for my first work out on Monday. In addition to scheduling my workouts, i use Sunday to meal prep all my meals for the week.
Challenges
I also love doing Workout Challenges. I don’t know what it is, but when I see the word “challenge” it instantly triggers the inner competitive spirit inside of me. One of my favorite challenges I do very often is Chloe Tings 2 Week Abs Challenge. I have been following Chloe Ting for about 3 years now and I have done all her challenges besides her arm challenge. She is the most motivational and amazing human on the planet!
All her challenges are free, and she even provides you with meal ideas for her challenges to insure you see results. Its like having your own personal trainer but for free!
When I am not doing one of her challenges I stay on track with my own workouts. I always have my resistance bands, a few kettle bells and ankle weights in my home. Because i stopped going to the gym 3-4 times a week, I realized I can still stay fit – “get those gains” without having to spend $200 a month on a crowded gym. I WAS SOLD! Therefore the purchase of these at home workout essentials were worth every penny.
In addition to leaving the crowded gym behinds, i stay motivated to complete my workouts because i removed the hassle of scheduling in my commute to the gym. Instead im swapping it for my commute to my living room! haha
I have linked all the items I use for successful home workouts.

Arms/Back
I follow along to Chloe Tings 10 min Sexy Arms Workout
However, i do not tend to train my arms or back often. I have broad shoulders as it is. So just to help tone the fat that gathers around my bra is what i mainly use this workout for.
To end this post…
One thing I want to share with you is that I plan and make being active a LIFESTYLE! I plan weekly and incorporate it into my everyday life schedule because its important to me, as it should be important to everyone else to some degree. Although my current fitness routine may change week to week depending on the weather, i still make an effort for some sort of activity. It can be going on walks with hunter, doing short ab workouts before I start my day or before bed, or even just riding a bike around my neighborhood. Above all, just incorporating some sort of activity that I plan to do everyday to keep a healthy mind, heart, body is a blessing worth scheduling. There is nothing more fulfilling than setting goals and seeing them come to life.

How do you stick to your health + fitness goals? Do you work with a spouse, friend, family member to help you stick to your goals? Find what works best for YOU and stick to it, but never ever beat yourself up about falling short at times. It happens to all of us! However, we just don’t let it keep us down! In conclusion, TODAY is always a good day to revamp and start up on YOUR fitness and healthy lifestyle! I hope you try out some of the workouts i do for my current fitness routine.
