Happy February and Happy Black History Month! To completely honest, it still doesn’t feel like a new year hahaha. I have tried my darnedest to remind myself that it’s a new year, new opportunities and new blessings; but I can’t shake it. All last year I kept saying that it felt like it was dragging! So you want to know how January 2021 went? It came and it went. haha! I still can’t come to terms with it.
So far this year, I have been blessed with tons of new opportunities whether they be business/ career orientated or life changing decisions that I have made to better myself. One thing i did was set myself up for success this year and plan to achieve all my new years resolutions. Want to hear what they are?
Health

I honestly think this is everyone’s goal every new year. Either everyone wants to get in shape or continue to better their health. This year I’m choosing to better my health and here’s how I plan to do it.
- Lose Quarantine weight by changing up diet
- Eat clean- no alcohol (unless on vacation out of the country or a wedding), less coffee, more water, no soda. More green Veggies and cut out largely processed vegan foods ( vegan meat alternatives etc.)
- Workout: Monday – Friday & hit daily steps goal. 10,000 per day. Target- thighs, stomach and face weight. Overall goal is to Grow Butt, Shrink Waist, and become more flexible.
Hit 10k on Instagram

This year in May will mark my one-year journey to becoming an influencer/ blogger. I really want to grow quickly on Instagram and be able to reach/ inspire as many people as possible. To unlock more opportunities with brand collabs which can get you seen by more people on the platform is to reach the 10K follower mark and have the swipe up capability. This gives followers a fast way to interact with brands and boost your engagement. Last, I wish to continue creating amazing content that all my followers love.
Pamper Myself More

Last but not least, this year I want to pamper myself more. Now when I say pamper I don’t me going to the spa, spending tons of money on mani’s/pedi’s. I mean more so in the sense of being kinder to myself and my body, making myself feel good on the inside and having it show on the outside. I plan to do this by:
- Starting my day with positive affirmations
- Waking up half hour earlier to give myself more me time in the mornings
- Doing more things for myself, BY MYSELF
And of course, here and there get myself a Mani hehehe
Hair health

I really only have 2 goals I want to hit with my hair growth journey this year. Obviously with good healthy hair comes length retention. This year I want to focus more on the overall health of my hair and hope it brings me to my goal of tailbone length hair by the end of the year.
- I will only straighten hair for trims twice a year at most.
- Protective styles only in summer months
- Take more liquid biotin, drink more water and eat clean foods that help promote hair growth
- Be gentler when de-tangling my hair
- Use more natural hair products and D.I.Y remedies.
Finish Home

This year I will hit the 3 year mark of being a homeowner! WILD!!! I have been in this home long each and I want to finish making it feel as such. Things I need to finish in my home are:
- Finish Living room
- Finish dining seating
- Repaint kitchen cabinets
- Final touches to guest room décor
- Get backyard landscaped
- Finalize Master bedroom Design
You would think that this would be easy enough but with a full time job, Instagram and a blog….its like having two full time jobs and 0 amounts of sleep. This is when you truly treasure your weekends and sleeping in on Sunday’s.
LET’S GET IT!!!
